Dhaka, Feb 14 (V7N) – BNP will not tolerate any conspiracy to disrupt the elections, despite supporting the interim government, said Zainul Abdin Faruk, advisor to the BNP Chairperson.
He made these remarks at a civic rally organized by the Liberation War Generation in front of the National Press Club on Friday afternoon. The rally demanded the immediate transfer of power to elected representatives and control of commodity prices before Ramadan.
Criticism of Law Enforcement & Price Hike Concerns
Faruk criticized the authorities for failing to arrest police officers involved in firing on Awami League MPs, ministers, and students during recent protests. He emphasized that BNP does not want the interim government to fail, but warned that attempts are being made to manipulate market prices through conspiracy.
"If the people's government comes to power, there will be no price syndicate dictating the cost of daily necessities," he assured.
