Dhaka, Mar 02 (V7N) – Professor Dr. Shahida Rafiq, wife of BNP Standing Committee member Barrister Rafiqul Islam and adviser to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, has passed away while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Dhanmondi.

She breathed her last on Sunday (March 2) morning, BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed.

Dr. Shahida Rafiq sustained injuries after falling into a hole at BNP’s extended meeting venue in the LD Hall of the National Parliament on Thursday. She was immediately advised by doctors on duty to seek medical attention and was later admitted to Dhanmondi Ibn Sina Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
