Dhaka, Aug 15 (V7N) – BNP Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas has demanded justice for all those who tortured BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia during her imprisonment.
He made the remarks at a prayer meeting held in front of the BNP central office on Friday to mark the 80th birth anniversary of the former Prime Minister. Abbas praised Khaleda Zia’s unwavering resilience, saying she remains a unique example of courage, and noted that those who sought to harm her are no longer in the country.
At the same event, Standing Committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy highlighted ongoing conspiracies surrounding the upcoming elections, warning that public doubts will persist until the vote counting is complete.
Meanwhile, Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan urged party leaders and activists to refrain from actions that could instill fear or anxiety among the people.
