Dhaka, Aug 30 (V7N) – BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has strongly condemned the attack on Nurul Haque Nur, President of the People's Rights Council, during Friday’s clash in Kakrail.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Mirza Fakhrul said the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) fully respects the right of all political groups to organize peaceful programs.

“BNP does not support any activity that disrupts the practice of democratic political culture, and we strongly condemn attacks on healthy political programs,” the BNP Secretary General said.

Mirza Fakhrul also expressed the party’s concern over Nurul Haque Nur’s condition and assured that all possible steps are being taken to ensure proper medical treatment. He wished the People's Rights Council leader a swift recovery.
