Kishoreganj, Sep 20 (V7N) – BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that despite conspiracies and false accusations, the BNP has always contributed positively to the country and never bowed its head.

He made these remarks in his inaugural speech at the three-year anniversary conference of Kishoreganj District BNP on Saturday afternoon.

“BNP did not fly in from anywhere; it has fought and done politics in this country. Like the phoenix that rises from the ashes, the BNP has faced attempts to destroy it again and again. But no one could break it. Those who tried to crush us through disappearances and killings have themselves fled the country,” Fakhrul said.

He assured party leaders and activists that there was no reason to be afraid, noting that BNP has always stood tall in the face of adversity.

The Kishoreganj District BNP is holding its tri-annual conference after nine years. The event will also feature a virtual address by the party’s acting chairman, Tarique Rahman, later in the afternoon.
