Dhaka, Sep 27 (V7N) – BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has said that the politics of entrenched practices has ended in the new Bangladesh, as people’s psychological changes after the July coup demand a new approach.
He made the remarks on Saturday morning while addressing the ‘Zia Swimming Carnival’ competition and award distribution ceremony organized by Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP at Zia Udyan in the capital.
“The politics of the future must embrace these changes,” Amir Khasru said, stressing that sports, alongside politics and the economy, should also be democratized so that all citizens have equal opportunities.
He added that people’s expectations of politics are shifting, noting that “the people want to see BNP as an ideal party.”
