Dhaka, Sep 27 (V7N) – BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has said that unity, people, and nation-building will be the guiding themes of BNP in the future. He emphasized that BNP must move forward as the people desire and remain wherever Bangladesh’s interests lie.

Speaking at the Comilla South District BNP conference on Saturday, Tarique warned that just as autocracy thrived after independence due to the lack of unity among democratic forces, a new form of hidden autocracy could emerge if democracy-loving citizens fail to unite.

BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed also addressed the conference, saying those who attempt to divide Islam through politics will be answered through vote politics. He added that people no longer accept the politics of rhetoric and exploitation.

He urged party leaders and activists to remain active on social media and counter misinformation effectively.
