Dhaka, Oct 02 (V7N) – BNP Chairperson’s advisor Zainul Abdin Faruk has called on agitating political parties to set aside their demands and allow the elected government to address national issues.
Speaking at a discussion on the country’s current affairs organized by the Senbagh Forum in Dhaka on Thursday morning, Faruk alleged that the Awami League, with support from India, is attempting to destabilize Bangladesh.
He urged the authorities to investigate and identify those responsible for creating unrest in the hill tracts.
“The people want peace, they want to vote, and they want to elect their true representatives,” the BNP leader said. He added that those attempting to destroy the anti-fascist unity in the country must be resisted.
Faruk also claimed that there are “many conspirators” surrounding Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, warning against plots aimed at undermining the interim government’s leadership.
