Dhaka, Oct 24 (V7N) — BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir emphasized the importance of uniting all communities with the mainstream and vowed that the problems of minority communities would be addressed if his party comes to power.
He made the remarks at the Wangala celebration program held at Banani Vidyanyakaniketan in the capital on Friday afternoon.
Mirza Fakhrul highlighted the need to make minority communities financially self-reliant and help them showcase their unique cultures. He said, “The diverse culture of the minority communities will further enrich our national culture.”
He also promised that if BNP forms the government, a separate cultural academy for minority communities will be established and the official celebration of Wangala will be considered.
