Bogra, Nov 18 (V7N) — BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that those who thought they could remain in power by killing and abducting opposition members are now witnessing their own downfall.

He made the remarks while participating in a day-long service program organized by the BNP family in Bogra to mark the birthday of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

Rizvi added that ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, seeing her downfall, fled the country with only her relatives and close associates, leaving party leaders and activists behind. He also praised Tarique Rahman, saying that despite being thousands of miles away, he has served as a “High Commissioner for Humanity,” carrying out humanitarian work across Bangladesh for the past fifteen years.
