Dhaka, Nov 22 (V7N) — Dhaka district Jubo Dal President Yasin Ferdous Murad has urged people to reject all backward ideas that hinder women’s progress and limit their potential.
Speaking at a women’s rally in the Dhaka-20 constituency on Friday, Murad said BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is committed to building a safer Bangladesh for all, with special emphasis on ensuring women’s safety at home, in workplaces, and in public spaces.
“Our leader Tarique Rahman is a man of his word; he fulfils the promises he makes. So we all must reject any backward mindset that restricts women’s potential,” Murad said.
The rally was organised by Dhamrai Upazila and Municipality BNP along with its front and associate bodies. It was chaired by Mahila Dal Joint Secretary Sabina Yasmin, while Sanjida Islam Maisha conducted the programme.
Murad added, “We want to see a modern and people-oriented Bangladesh where no decision can be imposed on any woman. Our leader Tarique Rahman and our party BNP will play a strong role in achieving this vision.”
