Rajshahi, Nov 22 (V7N) — BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has alleged that while there are no state-sanctioned disappearances or murders in Bangladesh, terrorist activities continue unchecked due to the government’s inaction. He cited the recent murder of Jubo Dal leader Kibria as a consequence of this negligence.
Rizvi made the remarks while paying tribute to the tomb of party founder Ziaur Rahman, alongside the newly formed Rajshahi Metropolitan BNP committee on Saturday.
He also highlighted the aftermath of Friday’s earthquake, saying, “So far, 10 people have died. The previous government failed to ensure the safety of citizens. During the Awami League period, RAJUK granted permission for multi-storey buildings without proper authorization, putting Dhaka at grave risk.”
Rizvi expressed hope that the government’s stance regarding the February elections will remain firm despite these challenges.
