Dhaka, Nov 27 (V7N) — BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed has accused former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of using the country’s laws for personal gain by leveraging illegal state power. He made the remarks on Thursday morning during a discussion organized by DUCSU 90 and All-Party Student Unity, marking the 35th martyrdom anniversary of Dr. Shamsul Alam Milon.

Rizvi claimed that Sheikh Hasina is being tried in the courts and tribunals she established, but emphasized that under the interim government, there is no scope for interference. He also stated that no attempts were made to influence the verdict against her.

At the same event, BNP Chairperson’s Advisor Aman Ullah Aman stressed that there is no alternative to holding elections. He alleged that anti-liberation forces are attempting to sabotage the upcoming polls but asserted that “no conspiracy will succeed.”
