Dhaka, Dec 02 (V7N) — BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said that not only BNP but also the general public across Bangladesh is deeply concerned about and sympathizes with Begum Khaleda Zia’s illness.
Rizvi made the remarks at a program to recite the Quran and perform charitable goat slaughtering at his residence in Shyamoli, Dhaka, on Tuesday (December 2) morning.
He added that Khaleda Zia is a symbol of the people’s trust in the country. “She has led the nation through many crises and has never abandoned the people. Despite various conspiracies attempting to remove her from the country, she has remained steadfast with indomitable morale,” Rizvi said.
At the event, under the supervision of Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP Joint Convener Kafil Uddin Ahmed, four goats were slaughtered and the meat distributed among the poor and needy, as part of prayers for Khaleda Zia’s speedy recovery.
