Dhaka, Apr 01 (V7N) – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to Principal Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus and the people of Bangladesh in a letter.

The Press Wing of the Principal Advisor confirmed the receipt of Modi’s message on Monday.

In his letter, Prime Minister Modi conveyed:

"As the holy month of Ramadan comes to an end, I extend my warmest greetings and best wishes to you and the people of Bangladesh on the joyous festival of Eid-ul-Fitr. During this holy month, 200 million Indians have spent the holy time with their brothers and sisters in fasting and prayers."

He further emphasized the significance of Eid, describing it as a time of celebration, reflection, gratitude, and unity. He stated:

"The joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr is a time of celebration, reflection, gratitude, and unity. It reminds us of the values ​​of compassion, generosity, and solidarity that bind us together as a nation and as members of the global community. On this auspicious occasion, we wish peace, harmony, good health, and happiness to people around the world. May the bonds of friendship between our countries grow stronger."
