Passengers gearing up for Eid travel can now secure advance bus tickets, as they become available for purchase at various boarding points and counters across the capital.

According to Ramesh Chandra Ghosh, chairman of the Bangladesh Bus-Truck Owners Association, advance tickets are accessible starting Friday, March 22, at all inter-district bus counters. Additionally, passengers have the option to acquire tickets online.

Ghosh emphasized the importance of adhering to the fares set by the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) and urged bus owners to comply, expressing concern about potential attempts to collect additional fares during Eid travel.

In a parallel development, e-ticketing platforms such as Shohoz and Busbd.com.bd have announced via their social media channels that advance bus tickets for Eid-ul-Fitr are now available on their respective websites and mobile apps.

In a related move, the government introduced restrictions on the movement of trucks, covered vans, and lorries on highways three days before and after Eid-ul-Fitr. This measure aims to alleviate congestion and facilitate smoother travel during the Eid period.
