Nilphamari, Mar 16 (V7N) — Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has inaugurated free Wi-Fi service at Saidpur Airport as part of the government’s initiative to expand digital connectivity across the country.

The service was launched on Monday night while the Prime Minister was returning to Dhaka following an official visit to Dinajpur.

The initiative aims to enhance the quality of public services and increase access to digital facilities at key public locations, including airports and transport hubs. Authorities said the program is part of a broader nationwide effort to strengthen digital infrastructure.

Free Wi-Fi services have already been introduced at Cox's Bazar Airport, Rajshahi Airport, Dhaka Airport Railway Station, and Cox's Bazar Railway Station as part of the same initiative.

Officials indicated that the service will be gradually expanded to more locations across the country in the coming phases.
