Moulvibazar, Jun 17 (V7N) – Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has begun his day-long visit to Moulvibazar, where he is scheduled to inaugurate a family card distribution program and attend a series of official and political engagements.
The Prime Minister departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for Sylhet at around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday and arrived in Sylhet at approximately 10:15 a.m. From there, he continued his journey to Moulvibazar by bus.
According to the itinerary, Tarique Rahman will first attend a program in Srimangal at 1:00 p.m. before heading to the Moulvibazar Government High School grounds at 2:00 p.m. The highlight of the visit will be the inauguration of the family card distribution program.
Following the official events, the Prime Minister is scheduled to travel to Dusai Resort in the afternoon. After a brief rest, he will participate in a political meeting with local leaders and activists.
Upon completion of the day's programs, Tarique Rahman is expected to return to Dhaka in the evening from Sylhet Osmani International Airport.
Meanwhile, extensive preparations have been completed across Moulvibazar ahead of the Prime Minister's arrival. Security has been tightened at key locations, while government agencies and local authorities remain on alert to ensure the smooth execution of the visit.
The Prime Minister's visit has generated considerable enthusiasm among party leaders and supporters, many of whom are expected to gather at the scheduled venues throughout the day.
