DHAKA, July 25 (V7N)— Newly appointed Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Khondaker Misbah-ul-Azeem paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at the Prime Minister's Office in Dhaka on Saturday.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister and the Navy Chief exchanged views on key strategic priorities, including strengthening national maritime security, enhancing the professional operational capacity of the Bangladesh Navy, and advancing modernization initiatives across the force.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman commended the professionalism and dedication of the Bangladesh Navy, highlighting its pivotal role in safeguarding the nation's sovereignty, maritime boundaries, and economic waters. He extended his best wishes to Vice Admiral Misbah-ul-Azeem as he assumes leadership of the naval forces.
