New York, Sep 26 (V7N)- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman met with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud on Friday on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The meeting was held at the UN Bilateral Booth (GAL-7) at the United Nations Headquarters, according to the prime minister's Assistant Press Secretary KM Nazmul Haque.
The two sides discussed ways to further strengthen the historic and fraternal relations between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia.
They exchanged views on bilateral cooperation, trade and investment, manpower, development cooperation, and regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman emphasized further deepening and expanding the existing friendly relations between the two countries, including through greater economic engagement and investment.
The two sides also discussed the potential for expanding Saudi investment and economic cooperation in Bangladesh.
Prince Faisal expressed Saudi Arabia's interest in further advancing relations with Bangladesh.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on various regional and international issues of mutual interest.
