Dhaka, August 12 – Home Affairs Adviser, Retired Brigadier General Dr. Sakhawat Hossain, has issued a stern warning against any attempts to create chaos in the country, particularly in light of recent developments involving the Awami League. During a visit to CMH Hospital on Monday morning, where he met with injured Ansar members, the adviser emphasized that while the Awami League has the right to reorganize the party, any efforts to destabilize the situation would not be tolerated.

Dr. Sakhawat Hossain condemned the violence that occurred during recent agitations, which resulted in casualties among security personnel. He assured that a thorough investigation would be conducted to uncover the circumstances leading to the injuries and deaths. The adviser also mentioned that international assistance would be sought to ensure a transparent and comprehensive investigation.

In his address, Dr. Hossain stressed the importance of law and order, stating that all looted weapons must be returned to the police by August 19. He warned that strict action would be taken against anyone found in possession of such weapons after the deadline.

While acknowledging the historical contributions of the Awami League to the country, the Home Affairs Adviser cautioned against any attempts to incite counter-revolutionary actions, suggesting that such efforts would lead to widespread bloodshed. His remarks highlight the government's firm stance on maintaining peace and stability during this transitional period.
