Dhaka, Oct 01 (V7N)- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has ordered Ferdousi Ahmed Mishti to resign from her post as a Member of Parliament representing a reserved seat for women.

The Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary, Atiqur Rahman Rumon, confirmed the information to the media on Thursday (October 1) afternoon.

Ferdousi Ahmed Mishti came under the spotlight following the demolition of the Radda MCH-FP Center in Mirpur, Dhaka, last Thursday. Allegations emerged that leaders and activists of the ruling party at various levels were involved in the incident.

In response to the incident, the Prime Minister has reportedly directed Mishti to step down from her parliamentary position.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday night, the Dhaka Metropolitan BNP North Committee and several unit committees of its affiliated organizations were dissolved. Leaders at various levels were also expelled as part of the organizational actions.
