Dhaka, Sep 04 (V7N) — The Chief Adviser of the interim government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, convened his first comprehensive meeting with the secretaries of 55 ministries and departments today. The meeting, which began at 11:30 a.m., was held at the office of the Chief Adviser in Tejgaon, Dhaka.

This marks the first time since the formation of the Dr. Yunus-led interim government that all secretaries have gathered for a unified discussion. Previously, on August 12, the Chief Adviser met with the secretaries of 25 ministries to address immediate concerns.

Today's meeting, although lacking a detailed agenda, is expected to focus on the overall situation of the country. Dr. Yunus is likely to seek advice from the secretaries on how to expedite the normalization of administrative functions across the nation, following the recent political upheaval. Sources suggest that the Chief Adviser will also provide directives on the government's approach to various pressing issues.

The government is reportedly prioritizing maintaining stability and enhancing its visibility among the public. In line with its commitment to reform, the interim government intends to address financial stability, recover illegal weapons, and implement measures to prevent corruption. These topics are anticipated to be central to the discussions.

This meeting underscores the government's commitment to restoring order and initiating key reforms as promised to the people. The Chief Adviser’s engagement with all ministry secretaries is seen as a crucial step towards consolidating the administrative efforts necessary to achieve these goals.
