Dhaka, Sep 16 (V7N) — Several areas across Bangladesh are facing a gas shortage due to a disruption in supply from the Maheshkhali Floating LNG Terminal (FSRO), caused by natural calamities and adverse weather conditions.

In a press release issued by Petrobangla on Monday, it was informed that the disruption has led to low gas pressure in certain regions, particularly affecting the areas served by Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company Limited (KGDCL) in Chittagong, Bakhrabad Gas, and Titas Gas.

Petrobangla has assured that the gas supply situation is expected to normalize by this evening. The company expressed sincere regret for the temporary inconvenience caused to consumers and asked for patience until the situation is resolved.
