Dhaka, Mar 24 (V7N) - The Bangladesh Bank has officially lifted the ban on foreign travel for officers and employees of Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs). A directive from the Financial Institutions and Markets Department on Monday stated that the previous restriction, imposed on May 29, 2022, is no longer in effect.

Under the new directive, officials of NBFIs can now travel abroad for training, study tours, exposure visits, meetings, and seminars with approval from their respective institutions, provided they comply with internal policies.

However, Bangladesh Bank clarified that officers with specific travel restrictions imposed by previous directives must still adhere to those conditions. This move is expected to facilitate skill development and international collaboration in the financial sector.
