Dhaka, Nov 26 (V7N) — The situation at Mahbubur Rahman Mollah College in Demra remains tense, though public life and traffic have returned to normal. Since this morning, heavy police presence, including armored vehicles, has been stationed on the college premises to maintain law and order.
The unrest stems from Monday's attack and vandalism at the college. Police have confirmed that a case is being prepared in connection with the incident. Following Monday's decision, the college remains closed, and entry is restricted.
Despite the college closure, curious onlookers have gathered on nearby streets to view the damaged college building. Traffic on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway, disrupted yesterday due to the unrest, has returned to normal today.
Inspector Mohsin Hussain of Jatrabari Police Station stated, “Two platoons of police force have been deployed to ensure the situation remains under control. Additionally, measures are in place to maintain smooth traffic flow.”
Authorities are continuing their investigation and working to prevent further disruptions in the area.
