Jhalkathi, Feb 19, (V7N) - A man who had been on the run for 10 years to avoid a 7-month prison sentence was finally caught by the police. Musa, also known as Badal Howlader, was arrested in the Bihangal area of Kulakathi Union, Nalchiti, on Monday night (February 17) around 12:30 AM.
 
Badal Howlader, son of Mujahar Howlader from the same area, had been fleeing since 2014 after being convicted in a drug-related case (marijuana) by the Barisal Kotwali Model Police Station. He was sentenced to 7 months of rigorous imprisonment and fined Tk 2 thousand, with an additional 2-month prison sentence for non-payment of the fine. After evading arrest for nearly a decade, he was apprehended by police during a late-night operation.
