Dhaka, Jan 03 (V7N)- Regular judicial activities in the Appellate and High Court divisions of the Supreme Court will resume tomorrow (January 4) following the New Year vacation.

The newly appointed Chief Justice Zubair Rahman Chowdhury will preside over judicial proceedings in the Appellate Division for the first time since the vacation.

At the start of the day, the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) will formally welcome the Chief Justice in Courtroom No. 1 of the Appellate Division at 10:30 am. Extensive arrangements have been made across the Supreme Court grounds to mark the occasion.

Justice Zubair Rahman Chowdhury was sworn in as the 26th Chief Justice of Bangladesh on December 28, 2025. Due to the court’s vacation period, tomorrow will be his first official working day in the courtroom as Chief Justice.
