Ukhiya, Sept 9 (V7N) – Members of the Armed Police Battalion (14-APBN) conducted a special raid in Ukhiya and arrested a Rohingya man, Rahmat Ullah, 34, recovering a homemade single-shot gun, five rounds of ammunition, and a sharp knife.
 
The operation took place early Monday morning in Block S-1-B-3 of the 20 No. Rohingya Camp (Extension), following a tip-off to the Ukhiya Walapalong Police Camp. Rahmat Ullah was apprehended during the raid along with the recovered weapons.
 
Additional Deputy Inspector General and commander of 14-APBN, Mohammad Siraj Amin, confirmed the arrest and seizure, stating that the confiscated firearms and knife were handed over to Ukhiya police after filing a case under the relevant legal sections.
 
Authorities emphasized that such operations will continue to maintain law and order in the Rohingya camps and to prevent potential criminal or terrorist activities.
