Pabna, Jan 23, (V7N) - The Bandhu Foundation, a non-governmental development organization, distributed 1,000 blankets among impoverished and underprivileged individuals in Pabna.

The distribution event was held at the Gayeshpur Union Family Planning Hospital in Pabna Sadar Upazila on Wednesday (January 22) afternoon.

Elias Ahmed Himel Rana, Joint General Secretary of the Rajshahi Division Central Jubo Dal and Convener of the District Jubo Dal, attended as the chief guest.

The ceremony was presided over by Shariful Islam Khan, President of the Bandhu Foundation, with participation from:

Alhaj Fakir Uddin, General Secretary of the Foundation

Rafiqul Islam, Organizing Secretary

Members: Rajibul Haque, Deepak Kupar Sarkar, Akhtaruzzaman Shipon, and Rezaul Karim

The blankets were distributed to 1,000 daily wage laborers, rickshaw and auto-van drivers, soil laborers, and agricultural workers in the area, providing warmth and comfort during the harsh winter season.

Shariful Islam Khan highlighted the organization’s commitment to serving underprivileged communities. He stated, “Bandhu Foundation has long been dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged communities by providing social and financial support. We also focus on delivering educational materials and other assistance to vulnerable men, women, and children in the area.”

The event was supported by the financial contributions of socially conscious youth in the community, continuing the Foundation’s mission to uplift marginalized groups.
