Brahmanbaria, Nov 28 (V7N) – Three individuals were injured in a shooting incident over territorial disputes in Brahmanbaria on Thursday evening. The incident took place at Kandipara Mor in the town.

The victims have been identified as Najmul Ahmed Tutul (36), Shihab (30), and Saju Mia. Tutul and Shihab are receiving treatment at the district hospital, while Saju Mia’s condition is reported to be stable.

According to Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Model Police Station, Azharul Islam, the clash erupted between two rival groups who have been involved in ongoing disputes over territorial dominance in the Kandipara area. On Thursday evening, during a standoff, one faction opened fire on the other, resulting in three people being shot. Local residents immediately rushed the victims to the district hospital for treatment.

Dr. Nur Ibne Bin Sifat, on duty at the hospital, confirmed that two of the victims were injured by rubber bullets and are under medical care.

Police have launched an investigation to determine whether other motives contributed to the violence. Authorities have assured that all individuals involved in the incident will face legal action.

The shooting has caused concern among local residents, who are calling for stricter measures to prevent such violent clashes in the area.
