Bagerhat, Nov 27 (V7N) – The National Livestock Week and Livestock Exhibition 2025 has been formally inaugurated in Morelganj upazila of Bagerhat. The event began on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with a rally organized by the Upazila Administration and the Upazila Livestock Department. The exhibition was officially inaugurated by Atish Sarkar, Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Morelganj.
The day-long program was presided over by Upazila Livestock Officer Dr Md Abu Hanif. Among the attendees were Livestock Extension Officer Ayesha Siddika Asha, Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Ranjit Kumar, Youth Development Officer AKM Ikhtiar Uddin, Social Services Officer Gautam Kumar Biswas, Amir of the Municipal Unit of Jamaat-e-Islami Rafiqul Islam, Principal Abdul Alim, Commander of the Freedom Fighters’ Council Shah Alam Babul, and local farmer and exhibitor Rabiul Islam.
The exhibition featured improved breeds of cattle, goats, ducks, chickens, and quail from various unions and the municipality. Additionally, a wide range of forest and herbal plants, rare hybrids, and red Napier grass were showcased across 30 stalls. At the conclusion of the program, awards were distributed among participating farmers for their contributions.
