Habiganj, Sept 11 (V7N) — Police have arrested Badarul Karim Dulal, 55, chairman of Rajiura Union Parishad in Habiganj Sadar upazila and organizing secretary of the Sadar upazila unit of the Awami League, in a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act.

A police team led by Habiganj Sadar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Zahidul Haque arrested him during a raid at Uchail Bazar in Rajiura Union at around 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10.

Dulal is the son of late Jitu Mia Master of Shankarpasha village in Rajiura Union of Habiganj Sadar upazila. He is the incumbent chairman of Rajiura Union Parishad and also holds the post of organizing secretary of the Habiganj Sadar upazila Awami League.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Zahidul Haque said Dulal was shown arrested in a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act.

Following the necessary legal procedures, he was being sent to the Habiganj court, the police official said.
