Sylhet, Sept 11 (V7N) — A woman named Dolly Begum has given birth to triplets at a private hospital in Sylhet. The newborns include two boys and a girl.
The babies were delivered through a successful Caesarean section at Fair Health Private Hospital in Mirer Moydan area of Sylhet city at around 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10.
The birth of three babies at once has brought joy to the family.
Dolly Begum, a resident of Paschimbagh area of Vadeshwar Union in Golapganj upazila, was admitted to the hospital by her husband, Nazrul Islam. She subsequently gave birth to the three babies following the successful surgery.
According to the hospital authorities, both the mother and the three newborns are currently in good health.
Zubayer Ahmed Zuber, managing director of Fair Health Private Hospital, said a team of doctors led by Dr. Gulshan-e-Jahan Bithi performed the Caesarean section.
He described the simultaneous birth of three babies as an uncommon occurrence compared with a routine delivery.
Relatives and well-wishers have been visiting the hospital to see the newborns. Family members have asked everyone to pray for the healthy and bright future of the mother and her three children.
