Chattogram, Oct 16 (V7N) – The results of the Chattogram University (CU) student union elections were unofficially announced early Thursday, revealing a decisive victory for the Chhatra Shibir-supported “Sampriti Students’ Alliance” panel. The announcement came around 4:30 AM and covered 14 halls and one hostel, made by Professor Monir Uddin, Chief Election Commissioner of CU.

According to the results, Chhatra Shibir-backed candidates won the positions of Vice President (VP, also referred to as Deputy President) and General Secretary (GS) in all contested posts. Meanwhile, Ayubur Rahman Taufiq from Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal secured the Assistant General Secretary (AGS) post, and independent candidate Tamanna Mahbub Preeti won the Co-Playground (Sports) position.

Vote counts from the 14 halls indicate that Ibrahim Hossain Roni won the VP post with 7,221 votes, while Saeed Bin Habib secured the GS position with 7,295 votes. Ayubur Rahman Taufiq received 6,441 votes for the AGS post.

The results underscore the continuing influence of Chhatra Shibir at CU, while also highlighting limited victories for Chhatra Dal and independent candidates in specific positions.
