FEB 12 (V7N)- Partial results from Feni-3 constituency (seat no. 267) show BNP candidate Abdul Awal Mintoo (Sheaf of Paddy) leading. According to local sources, results from 17 centres give Mintoo 17,471 votes, while Jamaat-e-Islami’s Dr. Fakhruddin Manik (Scales) has 9,704. The Election Commission’s tally from 66 centres shows Mintoo with 63,924 votes and Manik with 41,482.

Other contenders include Md. Saif Uddin (Hand Fan), who received 610 votes locally and 2,339 in EC count. Candidates Md. Abu Nasir (Chair), Md. Hasan Ahmed (Apple), and Md. Abu Sufian (Plough) have yet to record votes.

The figures indicate a competitive race, with BNP maintaining an edge as more results are awaited.
