DHAKA, April 21, (V7N) — A series of new government directives and initiatives were announced today across multiple ministries, reflecting priorities in administration, environment, health, and security.
The LGRD and Cooperatives Ministry has ordered the establishment of inspection rooms in all Upazila Parishad buildings nationwide. A press release signed by Deputy Secretary Ziaur Rahman stated that visiting ministers, MPs, and senior officials often disrupt regular office work by using the UNO or chairman’s rooms. To address this, designated inspection rooms with washrooms and quality furniture will be set up on the second floor of existing complexes or included in new building designs. Expenses will be covered by ADP/revenue budgets or project funds.
The government has launched a call for institutions to voluntarily partner in planting 25 crore trees within five years, fulfilling an electoral pledge. Eligible partners include NGOs, social organizations, and institutions with experience in plantation and GIS‑based monitoring. Concept papers must be submitted by April 25 to the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.
