Dhaka, February 9 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is scheduled to meet with its chief advisor, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, on Monday, February 10, to discuss the emerging political situation in the country. This information was confirmed by BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed in an interview with a private media on Sunday, February 9.

According to Ahmed, the meeting will take place at Jamuna, the residence of Dr. Yunus, around 6 PM. However, the composition of the BNP delegation attending the meeting has not yet been disclosed. It is noteworthy that the party's Secretary General, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, and Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury are currently in the United States, raising questions about who will represent the party in their absence.

This development follows the BNP's standing committee meeting held last Friday, where key issues such as recent acts of vandalism across the country—including incidents at Dhanmondi No. 32—the Reform Commission's report, and other contemporary political matters were discussed. During that meeting, the decision was made to consult with Dr. Yunus to navigate the current political climate.
