Dhaka, Aug 12 (V7N) — A delegation from the National Citizens Party (NCP) paid a courtesy call on US Chargé d’Affaires Tracey Ann Jacobson at her official residence on Monday afternoon.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on Bangladesh’s current political situation, law and order, the reform agenda, the upcoming national elections, and the NCP’s July manifesto. They also discussed the party’s nationwide July march, which reportedly drew a strong response from people across almost all districts.

The NCP delegation was led by Convener Nahid Islam and included Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, Senior Joint Member Secretary Dr. Tasneem Zara, and Joint Member Secretary Alauddin Mohammad.

Representing the United States were Acting Ambassador Tracey Ann Jacobson, Political and Economic Counselor Eric Gillan, Political Officer James Stewart, and Political Specialist Firoz Ahmed.
