Dhaka, Aug 20 (V7N) - Zainul Abdin Farroque, an advisor to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, declared that BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman will assume the role of Bangladesh’s next prime minister, successfully overcoming all conspiracies against him.

Speaking during a sit-in at the National Press Club on Tuesday, the former lawmaker stressed the importance of resisting conspiracies, particularly those orchestrated by the Awami League, to facilitate Tarique’s return to the country, leading to his eventual position as prime minister.

Addressing the issue of fake freedom fighters, Farroque pointed out that individuals associated with BNP politics were unjustly removed from the list of freedom fighters during the Awami League’s rule. He called for the immediate reinstatement of their status and their re-inclusion in the list of freedom fighters.

In a related discussion, another BNP advisor, Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal, emphasized the necessity of diplomatic efforts to ensure Sheikh Hasina's return to the country to face trial. Alal also urged for the prosecution of other leaders, including Hasanul Haq Inu, Anwar Hossain Manju, Rashed Khan Menon, and Dilip Barua.

Addressing BNP leaders and activists, Alal encouraged them to report incidents of land grabbing or extortion to law enforcement agencies, the BNP central office, or even the army if necessary. He underscored that the BNP would not take responsibility for these acts and mentioned that the party has already taken organizational measures against those misusing the BNP’s name for such activities.
