Dhaka, Sep 14 (V7N) – BNP standing committee member Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan emphasized that reforms are an ongoing process, suggesting that the changes implemented by the current government today will evolve in the future.

"Reforms are a continuous journey. What is considered necessary today may undergo further adjustments in the future. Only the most essential reforms will stand the test of time," said Moyeen Khan during a condolence meeting at the Eidgah ground in Bhagirathpur, Meherpur union of Narsingdi on Saturday. The gathering honored victims of the recent anti-discrimination movement.

In his speech, the BNP leader strongly criticized the Awami League-led government, accusing it of dismantling democracy and establishing a dictatorship during its 15-year rule. He argued that the government has stripped citizens of their voting rights, imposing a regime of violence and oppression.

"Democracy cannot flourish without the right to vote," Moyeen stated, asserting that the 18 crore people of Bangladesh are the true custodians of the nation.

As part of the event, the BNP provided financial assistance to the families of those who lost their lives during the movement.

The program was chaired by Abdur Rashid, President of the Meherpur Union BNP, and featured speeches from Erfan Ali, President of Palash Upazila BNP, and VP Monir, General Secretary of Meherpur Union BNP, among others.
