KYIV, 12, (V7N) - Russian strikes killed at least four people and wounded almost 60 across Ukraine on Saturday, Kyiv said, as Moscow steps up attacks ahead of another winter of war.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the country has been "under almost constant attack since last night", calling for an adequate reaction from allies.
US envoys visited both Moscow and Kyiv last week but announced no breakthrough in talks to end Russia's dragging invasion, now in its fifth year.
Ukrainian officials said two people were killed in the southern Zaporizhzhia region.
Steelmaker ArcelorMittal said two others were also killed at its plant in the central city of Kryvyi Rig.

"ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rig reports that our plant was struck by a missile from the aggressor country last night," the global steel giant's subsidiary said in a statement on Telegram, adding that two bodies had been found.
"We emphasise our plant is a civilian facility in the mining and metallurgical industry, and we strongly condemn these insidious enemy attacks," the company went on, saying production facilities had also been damaged.
Zelensky said a Russian strike on an apartment building in Odesa wounded 37 people, with rescue teams searching for two missing people.
He also said Moscow struck a "hotel in Chornomorsk", also in the Odesa region, with 11 people wounded.
Others were wounded in the Kryvyi Rig and the Kyiv regions, Zelensky said.
"Ten regions came under Russian attack last night, and Russian attack drones are still flying over many of them," he said.
Russia has intensified strikes since the summer.
In Zaporizhzhia, where two people died, a strike destroyed a house.
It was absolute terror," Lyudmila, a 56-year-old resident, told AFP.
The attacks come after a deadly summer, with the UN warning of a major rise in civilian casualties in the war.
Kyiv has also upped its retaliatory strikes inside Russia.
Zelensky said Ukraine had struck "chemical enterprises" in the Perm region, in Russia's Urals, and the central Samara region.
He said that Ukrainian strikes this week had destroyed a plane and two helicopters in the southern Krasnodar and Rostov regions.
"The war must hit home. This is important," Zelensky said.
