The event will commence with an inaugural ceremony on May 10, graced by Mr. Mohammad Shahin Imran, Deputy Commissioner of Cox's Bazar, along with other distinguished guests. The prize distribution and concluding ceremony on May 11 will be honored by Mr. Tofayel Islam, Divisional Commissioner, Chittagong Division.

The Cox's Bazar District Sports Organization is proud to host this grand event at the historic Ruhul Amin Stadium, promising an exciting celebration of Cox's Bazar's rich cultural heritage. Helal Uddin Kabir, the editor of the organizing committee, expressed enthusiasm for this year's event, which will bring together participants from across the country to celebrate tradition and culture.

This event commemorates a significant aspect of Cox's Bazar's history, dating back to 1956 when the tradition began as S.D. and Mr. Baisakhi Mela. Originally known as Balikhela, this Bengali folk festival has evolved over the years, culminating in the establishment of DC Shaheb's Wrestling and Baisakhi Mela in 1984, reflecting the vibrant spirit of the district's residents.
