Wyndham Clark, the reigning US Open champion, clinched his third US PGA Tour title on Sunday night after officials canceled the storm-delayed final round of the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, declaring him the winner.

Clark made history by setting a course record with a remarkable 12-under par 60 at the iconic Pebble Beach layout on Saturday, propelling the 30-year-old American to a one-stroke lead after 54 holes.

However, severe wind and heavy rain battered the region on Sunday, forcing the postponement of the entire fourth round to Monday. Despite hopes for resumed play, ongoing storms and flooding led officials to conclude the event after three rounds.

In a statement, the PGA Tour cited the forecasted continuation of adverse weather conditions and the implementation of a Shelter in Place order for the greater Pebble Beach community by Monterey County emergency authorities as reasons for the decision.

Clark's victory marked his third triumph in just nine months, following his maiden PGA title at the Wells Fargo Championship last May and his breakthrough major win at the US Open in June at Los Angeles Country Club, where he edged out Rory McIlroy by one stroke.

By lowering the previous Pebble Beach 18-hole record of 62, set by Tom Kite in 1983 and matched by David Duval in 1997, Patrick Cantlay in 2021, and Matthias Schwab in 2022, Clark solidified his place in history.

With a final score of 17-under 199, Clark secured victory, with Sweden's Ludvig Aberg finishing second on 200 and France's Matthieu Pavon, fresh off a win at Torrey Pines, trailing by two strokes in third place.

Belgian Thomas Detry and American Mark Hubbard shared fourth place on 202, while top-ranked Scottie Scheffler, Justin Thomas, Tom Hoge, and Jason Day all finished on 203.

Clark's latest triumph underscores his prowess on the tour and sets the stage for further success in the upcoming season.
