Dhaka, Feb 15 (V7N) — Mamata Banerjee, Chief Minister of West Bengal, India, has sent sweets and flowers to Tarique Rahman following the recent electoral victory of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party.
The gifts were received by members of the BNP media cell at the Chairperson’s political office in Gulshan on Saturday evening.
Congratulatory Message
Earlier, Mamata Banerjee congratulated the citizens of Bangladesh and referred to Tarique Rahman affectionately as “Tareq Bhai.” In her social media message, she wrote:
"Heartfelt congratulations to all the brothers and sisters and people of Bangladesh. Ramadan Mubarak in advance. Congratulations to Tarique Bhai, his party and all parties for this great victory. Wishing everyone well and happy."
She also extended her greetings in advance for the holy month of Ramadan, expressing goodwill and unity between the people of West Bengal and Bangladesh.
