According to Zunaid Ahmed Palak, State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, 500 post offices nationwide would have "Smart" service points installed.

After meeting with Charles Whiteley, the EU ambassador to Bangladesh, on Tuesday at the Secretariat, he made these comments in an interview with reporters.

"The district and upazila headquarters of the nation are home to 500 post offices, all of which are in extremely good locations. There, we'll install smart points in addition to the postal services provided by the government. As both public and private service providers, we aim to create intelligent service points there. There will be 500 locations for this service. which is just a Tk 49 crore project," the state minister declared.

Birth registration servers have been plagued by issues for quite some time. When asked if there would be a solution to this issue, he responded, "We have provided all the recommendations and ideas in this regard. We will be sitting with Minister of Local administration Tazul Islam now that the new administration has been created. We'll investigate our recommendations further and give it another go."

"The first is to secure information security, and the second is to provide prompt service. They were both cut off. We'll talk about it soon," he continued.

When asked when he would know the issue will be fixed, he replied, "I will tell you in seven days."

The state minister began the discussion with the EU envoy by stating that the EU has provided the government with full support in this area, including technology and knowledge transfer.

"That still is," he emphasized, going on to say that "we are working in a new way in the new vision of the new government." The European Union will provide financial support to us in order to set up a smart government and carry out Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Vision 2041 of a Smart Bangladesh. They will support their knowledge and technologies in addition to investing here.
