Dhaka, Aug 27 (V7N): A writ petition has been submitted to the High Court requesting reforms to the secondary school curriculum. The petition, filed by Supreme Court lawyer Kamrul Hasan on Tuesday in the public interest, aims to address concerns over the current educational framework.

The petitioner indicated that the writ may be reviewed by the High Court bench led by Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice Muhammad Mahbub Ul Islam.

The petition calls for the establishment of an investigative committee to identify those responsible for the "flawed" curriculum design. Furthermore, it seeks to halt the implementation of the existing curriculum starting from 2025.

The respondents named in the writ include the Secretary of the Ministry of Education, the Chairman of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB), the Director General of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE), and the Secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.
