Dhaka, Nov 03 (V7N)— In a coordinated anti-narcotics operation, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Crime Branch has arrested 12 individuals across various parts of the capital. The drive, which ran continuously from 6 am on Saturday to 6 am on Sunday, aimed to curb the illegal drug trade within the city.

Authorities recovered one kilogram and 180 grams of marijuana, 77 Yaba tablets, and 116 bottles of Phensidyl during the operation. Nine separate cases have been filed against those arrested under the Narcotics Control Act in their respective police stations.

The DMP has increased the frequency of such operations to target drug trafficking networks and combat the spread of illegal substances in Dhaka.
