Dhaka, Mar 23 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted thunderstorms, rain, and gusty winds in certain parts of the country over the next 72 hours, while the rest of the nation is expected to experience mainly dry weather with partly cloudy skies.

According to the forecast issued at 9 AM on Sunday, thunderstorms or rain accompanied by temporary gusty winds may occur at one or two places in Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, and Khulna divisions. Other parts of the country are expected to remain mostly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies.

The Met Office also noted that daytime temperatures may increase slightly across the country, while night temperatures may decrease slightly. The extension of a low-pressure area is currently stretching to West Bengal and its surrounding areas, while the seasonal low-pressure system is situated in the south Bay of Bengal.

For Monday, the weather is expected to remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies across the country.

On Tuesday, both day and night temperatures may rise slightly, with the overall weather remaining dry and partly cloudy.

The extended five-day forecast suggests that day and night temperatures will continue to rise gradually, indicating a shift towards warmer conditions in the coming days.
