Dhaka, Nov 19 (V7N) – Dr. Bidhan Ranjan Roy Podder, Primary and Mass Education Adviser, has reiterated the government's commitment to correcting mistakes in school textbooks, particularly those prevalent during the previous Awami League-led administration.
“We are working tirelessly to reduce errors in the textbooks, and the success of these efforts will be evident after their release,” Dr. Podder said on Tuesday while addressing journalists during a visit to Govt Jubilee High School in Sunamganj.
The adviser, an alumnus of the institution, fondly reflected on his childhood experiences, sharing how he traveled from the remote Madyanagar area to attend the school. “I used to reach this prestigious school by boat at a time when launch services were unavailable,” he recalled.
Highlighting the historical importance of the school, he remarked, “Promoting iconic schools like Jubilee on an international platform is crucial for showcasing our educational heritage.”
During his visit, Dr. Podder participated in a year-end celebration with third-grade students, cutting a cake to mark the occasion.
He also toured the school campus, inspected the students' dormitory, and visited the old launch terminal, appreciating the institution's historical significance and its contributions to education.
